| "Anna Greaves is blessed with an uncanny talent for painting light and communicating emotion, not many evoke light in oils with such realism. Anna chooses not to communicate a specific meaning with her art; instead she conceives works that are temptingly ambiguous, triggering personal memories and emotions in the viewer. Anna often deliberately ignores the ‘rules’ of composition, leaving large areas of negative space, which are a real treat for the eyes and a world of subtle texture in their own right.
