wow, i thought that this was a photo shot.

good job on the lighting and shadows on the hands...
there really is an aura of realism.

i was thinking that the background was kind of plain, but then again, it highlights the hands more.:P

Yeah, the background does look kind of plain in this shot. The real thing it has lots of lush tones and variations, which the camera just didn't pick up so well. A 'wash' background is part of my signature style, and you're right - I deliberately do that to bring focus to the subject.

that is a very inspiring piece :D although simple, in terms of the subject, the perfect lighting and the well arranged composition made this one a really good piece. very very nice. this is really inspiring me!
